While researching on the internet, 4th grade students found lots of interesting information about Barack Obama!

Did you know???...

Barack Obama worked at a Baskin Robbins as a teenager.

Barack Obama's favorite meal is shrimp linguini (cooked by his wife, Michelle).

Barack Obama enjoys playing Scrabble with his family.

Barack Obama has read all of the Harry Potter books.

Ask your 4th grader for some more interesting facts about President Obama!

Hello Everyone!

I appologize for not updating the 4th grade blog sooner-- things got really busy this holiday season! I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

SJB Election!

Today, students in grades 1 through 8 voted for their favorite presidential candidate in SJB's Election!

Barack Obama was the winner of our SJB Election by a landslide! Barack Obama had 101 votes versus John McCain's 11 votes.

Thank you to all students for your participation and good citizenship!

Halloween

Fourth grade had a SPOOKTACULAR time at the Halloween Fest!

Children's Film Festival: Red Zora

Today, the fourth graders enjoyed a wonderful field trip to watch the film, "Red Zora", at the Children's Film Festival. Students enjoyed the movie which took place in a beautiful coastal town on the Mediterranan and was about a group of orphans struggling to survive in the 1930's.

Apple Tasting at SJB!

The students at SJB were very fortunate to have a visitor come to school and teach them about healthy eating habits! Fourth graders tasted a variety of delicious apples and learned new vocabulary words to help them describe the different tastes.

A Hero Visits SJB

4th grade would like to send a BIG "thank you" to Devon Sullivan, a local firefighter, who visited SJB on Friday October 10th. Devon spent time talking to our students about his exciting career and fire safety.
